Privacy Policy

DRAFT — REQUIRES LEGAL REVIEW BEFORE PRODUCTION. This policy describes the platform's current technical behavior but has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel.
Who we are
The DASH Engagement Economics platform (“the Platform”) is an internal business application operated by DASH Engineering Solutions (“we,” “us”) for managing consulting engagements, time, billing, and firm financials. It is intended for use by authorized firm personnel, not the general public.
Privacy questions and data requests can be sent to support@dashengineering.com. Your workspace administrator can also help with access and account requests.
Information we collect
We collect only what the Platform needs to function:
- Account data — your name, work email, role, job title, region, and (for delivery staff) billing and cost rates, entered by your firm's administrator or at sign-up.
- Business records you enter — clients, engagements, time entries, expenses, invoices, pipeline deals, and related financial figures.
- Security records — an audit log of significant actions (who changed what, and when) and rate-limit counters keyed to your network address during sign-in.
We do not collect precise location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or any data from your device beyond what is described here.
Cookies
Neon Auth sets strictly necessary, secure authentication cookies to maintain your session and protect account access. These cookies are not used for analytics or advertising. There are no tracking cookies or third-party pixels, so the Platform does not display a marketing-cookie consent banner.
How we use information
- To operate the Platform: dashboards, forecasting, billing, timesheets, and resourcing.
- To authenticate you and protect accounts (session management, rate limiting, audit logging).
- To answer questions you ask the built-in AI assistant (“Ask DASH”) — see the AI section below.
We do not sell personal information, do not share it for advertising, do not use it for profiling, and do not send marketing communications.
Where data is stored
All application data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (a managed database provider). The application itself is hosted on managed cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by the hosting providers. Neon Auth manages password hashing, identity verification, and authentication sessions; the application does not receive or store plaintext passwords.
AI assistant (Ask DASH)
When you send a question to Ask DASH, your question and a snapshot of the firm's business data (engagement economics, billing, utilization, clients, and pipeline) are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude model through a managed AI gateway to generate the answer. Conversations are not stored by the Platform after the response is returned.
Provider-side processing and retention are governed by the organization's current AI gateway and model-provider agreements. Contact your workspace administrator or support for the terms that apply to your account.
Third parties
The complete list of third parties that receive data is:
- Cloud infrastructure provider — application hosting and AI request routing.
- Neon — database hosting.
- Anthropic — AI model responses for Ask DASH, routed through a managed AI gateway.
There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, or data brokers.
Retention and deletion
Financial and audit records are retained for up to seven years where required for business and legal obligations. Import logs are retained for up to one year, rate-limit events for up to one hour, and expired application sessions are purged automatically. You can export your profile and authored activity or deactivate access from My Account; required financial and audit records remain retained under this policy.
Your choices
- You can sign out at any time and manage your password through Neon Auth.
- You can export your account data or deactivate application access from My Account.
- Using Ask DASH is optional; no data is sent to the AI provider unless you ask it a question.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date above will change and users will be notified in the application.
